The Benefits of a Gas Powered Scooter

The freedom and exhilaration of riding a gas scooter in warm spring weather just can't be beat. Nothing can compare to the fun of the wind in your face and the smooth acceleration by your cheap, fast, gas powered scooter. By cheap, I don't mean in terms of quality by any means. Let's look at the benefits of owning a gas powered scooter.

Speed

How fast? Between 28 - 33 miles per hour depending on the riding conditions such as the riders weight. Most riders will get up to 33 miles per hour.

Distance

Typically between 15 and 20 miles. Whether it making a short trip to work, school or the store to pick up a couple of light items, your gas powered scooter will take you to where you need to be quickly and efficiently.

Durable

Much easier to fix than motorcycles. A strong design that in-corporates high tension steel in the framework and high grade billet aluminum in the deck create very durable construction.

Hot or cold weather

There is no effect on a gas powered scooter in cold or hot temperatures. If you live in a cold area, it might be a better idea for you to get a gas powered scooter because with start as the battery tends to be affected by colder weather.

Go Green

Gas powered scooter burns much less fossil fuel than even a small compact car, therefore making them better for the environment.

Power

Even from a dead stop on a 25 degree angle, you will quickly picked up speed and get up the hill.

EPA certified gasoline engine

Reduce your own vehicle emissions. Gas scooters have an EPA certified gasoline engine which means that the engine has passed rigorous testing. Regulating and testing fuel economy plays an important part in reducing air pollution throughout the streets and communities of the US.

Electric start

On a 30 degree day, your scooter will start up in 4 pulls. Another easy option to start your scooter is to simply run the electric start for 4 seconds. The electric start is pretty cool, and it works very well. Kind of like a hybrid, it charges while the scooter runs so you never really have to plug it in at home.

As a back-up, it comes with an external battery charger to plug in your scooter when not in use.

No Insurance Needed

Save money compared to insurance for a car. No insurance is required or needed for motors that are 50cc or less. Even though you may not need insurance for you XG-550 or XG505, don't forget to wear a helmet. The risk of riding a scooter is mitigated by wearing a helmet.
Remember, the seat is sold separately. The XG-505 and XG550 cannot be clas-sified as a motorcycle and therefore cannot be shipped with a seat kit. A gas powered scooter is a good choice for college students or singles seeking trans-portation for one.
