- 1). Disconnect your power cable and any cables currently running to your video card.
- 2). Open your computer tower by sliding the side panel toward the rear of the tower. On some tower designs, a screwdriver will be needed to loosen the screws holding the tower panels in place.
- 3). Remove any existing video cards if necessary. If not, move on to Step 4.
- 4). Install your PCI-E video cards by lining each card up with a PCI-E slot and pushing inwards so that the card has a full, clean connection. Do this for both cards.
- 5). Close your computer tower by sliding it shut and resecuring it with the screws, if necessary.
- 6). Reconnect your power cable and connect your three monitors to the video cards by plugging two of the VGA or DVI wires into one card and a third into the other. Be sure to connect these wires to the monitors as well.
- 7). Power on your computer and allow it to boot into your operating system.
- 8). Right-Click on your desktop and select either "Properties" or "Personalize." This will open a new window.
- 9). Click either the "Settings" tab or the "Display" option. If in Windows 7, proceed to click "Change Display Settings" from the list of options on the left-hand menu. Otherwise, continue to the next step.
- 10
Select the left-most display and change the Display source to Option 1 from the drop-down list of signals listed under "Display." Repeat this for the middle and right-side screens for display options 2 and 3. - 11
Click "Apply" to apply these changes and then click "OK" to confirm them and exit the options screen.
