India's biggest two-wheeler company, Hero Moto Corp formely known as Hero Honda Moto Corp, has geared itself for the year 2013. Hero has lined up a fine collection of motorbikes which are expected to launch in this year. According to sources, Hero aims at launching around 17 new bikes mostly in its 125cc category. Although it has not neglected other segments of two-wheeler, Hero certainly is coming up with bikes catering customers with different utility purposes.

After severing ties from the Japanese global major, Hero has diversified itself into many new markets. Besides this, a number of new bikes and scooters are also coming up under the Hero banner. In a couple of months' time, Hero is all set for its global foray as the company is going to start exporting bikes to Africa and Latin America. The export operations will be exclusively handled by a separate business entity specially created for this purpose. Not only this, Hero is also looking for business opportunities in South East Asia too. Initially the company will export only bikes under CD range, Hunk and CBZ Extreme.

From entry level commuters to Mid-range performance, Hero has stocked up atleast two to three models of bike in each category. Let us get a glimpse of some of the bikes which Hero has in stock for us in 2013:

Entry Level Commuters

Hero HF Dawn and Hero HF Deluxe: These bikes have 4 speed manual, engine capacity of 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carburetor with 7.7 bhp at 7500 rpm and 8.04 Nm at 4500 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 80.3kmpl(as per SIAM).

Hero Splendor NXG: This bike has 4 speed manual, engine capacity of 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carburetor and gives 7.6 bhp at 7500 rpm and 7.94 Nm at 4500 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 78.94kmpl(as per SIAM).

Hero Splendor Pro: This bike has 4 speed manual, engine capacity of 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carbureter and gives 7.4 bhp at 7500 rpm and 7.95 Nm at 4500 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 84kmpl(as per SIAM).

Scooter

Hero Pleasure: This scooter has variomatic transmission, engine capacity of 102cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carbureter and gives 6.74 bhp at 7000 rpm and 7.85 Nm at 5000 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 60.40kmpl(as per SIAM).

Hero Maestro: This scooter has variomatic transmission, engine capacity of 102cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carbureter and gives 8 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9.1 Nm at 5000 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 66.7kmpl(as per SIAM).

Mid- Range Performance

Hero Karizma: This mid-range performer bike has 5 speed manual transmission, engine capacity of 223cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carbureter and gives 17 bhp at 7000 rpm and 18.35 Nm at 6000 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 45.5kmpl(as per SIAM).

Hero Karizma ZMR: This mid-range performer bike has 5 speed manual transmission, engine capacity of 223cc air-cooled single-cylinder, carbureter and gives 17.6 bhp at 7000 rpm and 18.35 Nm at 6000 rpm of torque, giving a mileage of 46kmpl(as per SIAM).
