Sometimes designing and adding interior design pieces for our homes are constrained by our budgets. We often compromise the look of our house's interiors with our aesthetics versus utilitarian ideas. Choosing your interior design pieces is similar with choosing what clothes to wear. Like our clothes, our home is an extension of ourselves. We wouldn't want to wear a piece of clothing that doesn't show-- us and that we felt uncomfortable with. This is similar with our interior design pieces. We should be comfortable with what we have and put inside our houses. We should never settle for 'pwede na' and 'mapagtiyatiyagaan na iyan'. We should be proud and convinced with what we choose to place in our house. Like fashion, research for current trends and styles and just try to mimic its look if you couldn't afford the featured piece. Magazines that share trends and style does not automatically encourage that you buy what was featured but to have an idea of the style and trends featured. The concept of style and trend is to be able to grasp the general idea or innate characteristic of the style.

In art, Leonardo's (da Vinci) style will be close to Michelangelo's style because both are renaissance period artists than the works of Pablo Picasso which is cubist in style.
