- 1). Boil 1 gallon of water in a saucepan.
- 2). Add 2 pounds of sugar to the boiling water. Stir the water occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 3). Turn off the burner under the saucepan and add 10 to 12 teabags of your favorite tea blend to the hot water. This will allow the tea to steep in the water while it cools.
- 4). Let the water cool to lukewarm and remove the tea bags.
- 5). Drain the water from the saucepan into the carboy.
- 6). Add 1 gallon of water to the concentrate in the carboy along with a packet of wine yeast to start the fermentation process.
- 7). Place the airlock on the opening of the carboy to seal it shut.
- 8). Set the carboy in a warm area of the house where it will be left alone.
- 9). Let the wine ferment for 45 days.
- 10
Tap the top of the airlock. If it bubbles, the fermentation process is still occurring. Check the wine every day until the airlock does not bubble when tapped. - 11
Place one end of the plastic tubing in the carboy and siphon out the wine into bottles. - 12
Cap the bottles when full and store them in a cool, dry area.
