- 1). If you do not already have a copy of the latest version of Mythbuntu, download the ISO image file from Mythbuntu.org and burn it to a CD.
- 2). Insert the CD into the desired computer and restart the computer. As the computer boots up, it will load into the Mythbuntu disc giving you the option to start or install the OS or boot from the hard disk. Select "Start or install Mythbuntu" and hit "Enter."
- 3). Double-click the desktop icon "Install Mythbuntu" to begin the installation wizard once the computer loads the disc.
- 4). Select your language, location and proper keyboard layout. Select "Use entire disk" when asked about partitioning the hard drive. Enter a user name and password when prompted.
- 5). Select "Standard Installation" and click "Forward."
- 6). Enable "Configure a Remote Control" when prompted, if you have a remote control to use with your Mythbuntu PVR. Select your particular remote from the drop-down menu and click "Forward."
- 7). Select the proper drivers for your video card when prompted from the drop-down menu. If you are unsure of what video card you have, leave the configuration alone as an open-source driver is automatically installed.
- 8). Select "Install" on the final review screen. This begins the installation. Once complete, the computer will restart and boot in a fresh re-installation of Mythbuntu.
