- 1). Close all open programs on your computer.
- 2). Click on "Start" and select "Run." In the text field, type "regedit" (without quotation marks). Click "OK" to open up the registry editor.
- 3). Look for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar" and "HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Toolbar \ WebBrowser." For each key, look in the right pane and delete "{179E4B4A-76C3-4F65-BCED-C9FA1A28D2EF}" if it is listed.
- 4). Delete the following three keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {179E4B4A-76C3-4F65-BCED-C9FA1A28D2EF}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID \ {8A0DCBDA-6E20-489C-9041-C1E8A0352E75}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Browser Helper Objects \ {8A0DCBDA-6E20-489C-9041-C1E8A0352E75} - 5). Close the registry editor and reboot your computer.
- 6). Search for the following files on your computer:
NN_BAR.DLL
NN_Bar21.dll
NN_Bar22.dll
NN_Bar31.dll
You will find them in the "System" folder, which may be labeled "System32." Delete these files. - 7). Open the "Start" menu. Select "Settings" and then "Control Panel." Double-click "Internet Options," then click the "Programs" tab. Click on "Reset Web Settings" and then "OK." The toolbar will no longer show up in your web browser.
