Chip is a product of generations of stray Southern cats. Nothing noble about Chip but he has watched me type feature after feature for About. He just cannot stand to be alone and sleeps in my study.
My wife Kim couldn't stand Chip to start (her first cat) but things quickly changed. I will sometimes make a comment about how ugly and opossum-like he looks. She does not laugh or smile at the comment.

We have thousands of dollars in Chip as she takes him to the vet at any sniffle.
