Consistency is the key to success.
Be consistent with these four simple tips to get your pre-pregnancy body back! The Top 2 Simple Exercise Tips: 1) Perform Full Body Workouts: This can be accomplished by doing a circuit designed around upper, lower body, and of course the core at least 3 times a week with a day of intervals in between.
Include exercises such as: double-leg, push, single-leg, pull, and core exercises.
2) Melt Body Fat through the Power of Intervals: Interval training has been scientifically shown to burn 9 times more fat than steady state cardio, and it boosts your metabolism for up to 48 hours after your workout.
Perform your intervals on non-strength training days 3 times per week.
Choose any cardio you enjoy (running, biking, etc) and begin with 5 minutes of warm up then begin your intervals.
Start with 30 seconds as hard as possible followed by 90 seconds recovery.
Repeat these intervals for 20 minutes then cool down for at least 5 minutes.
As you gain strength and stamina, increase your sprints and decrease your recovery.
The Top 2 Simple Nutritional Tips: 1) Eat your way Thin: Most of us were raised to believe that not eating meant losing weight.
THIS IS NOT SO! Start with a healthy breakfast then continue eating small, nutrient dense meals every 2 to 3 hours throughout the day to keep your body from storing fat.
By keeping your furnace full of fuel, you not only feed the muscle, you keep your metabolism up and running which burns fat.
This helps prevent overeating because you don't get to the starving point where you will put whatever you can get your hands on into your mouth! 2) Fill up on Fiber and Protein: Your body needs 25-35 grams of fiber a day.
Fiber along with protein helps keep you full and satisfied.
Try to add lean protein with every meal and snack.
Some examples of lean protein are: skinless chicken breast, almonds, natural nut butter, black beans, non-fat Greek yogurt, and fish.
Now this is in no way a quick fix to your health.
However, by incorporating these four simple rules into your lifestyle, you will not only notice changes in the mirror and in the way your clothes fit, but in your attitude toward yourself and others as well.
