- 1). Cut an 8-inch circle from a sheet of felt; you don't have to measure it, the circle will take up the full width of the sheet, and doesn't need to be perfectly round. Cut into the circle in a spiral pattern with the distance between cuts between 1 1/2 and 2 inches. Stop when a 1 1/2-inch-wide circle remains in the center of the spiral. This circle will serve as the base for the rose.
- 2). Stick one end of a green pipe cleaner through the center of the center circle. Bend 1 inch of the tip and push it back through the circle 1/4 inch from where you first pushed it through. Push the tip of the second pipe cleaner through the circle first at the second hole from the first pipe cleaner, and then back through at the first hole for the first pipe cleaner. Twist the tips and lengths of the two pipe cleaners together on the underside of the circle and the rest of the way down to create a stem.
- 3). Roll the strip of felt created by the spiral cut, tightly at first and then gradually looser, right up to the center circle. Place the roll on top of the circle, and attach it with hot glue. Hold the roll while the hot glue cools for 1 minute.
- 4). Repeat to make as many roses as necessary to create a bouquet that will fit in your chosen vase.
