- 1). Place the tilapia fillet on a microwave-safe plate.
- 2). Cover the plate with plastic wrap without the plastic touching the fish. Lift the corner of the plastic to vent.
- 3). Microwave the fish on high power for 2 to 5 minutes or until nearly opaque.
- 4). Leave the fish in the microwave after heating for two minutes to rest and finish cooking.
- 5). Lift the plastic wrap and break the fillet in the middle. It is ready if the tilapia is opaque all the way through and easily flakes.
- 6). Serve the fillet with a squeeze of lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.
