- 1). Turn on your computer and plug the printer into it. Make sure the printer is turned on as well.
- 2). Click on the "Start" menu and selecting the "Control Panel" option.
- 3). Double-click on the folder called "Printer and Faxes" to open it. Locate the printer for which you want to check ink levels and right-click on it.
- 4). Click on "Preferences" in the right-click menu and select the tab labeled "Services." Go to "Service This Device."
- 5). Go to the tab that says "Estimated Ink Level" and check the graphic that appears to view the current ink level in your cartridges.
