Genital Warts Symptoms - How to Know If You Are a Victim and How to Avoid the Embarrassment

Genital warts symptoms may vary from one person to another.
They are not always visible to anyone who has it.
They may appear flat or slightly raised from the skin or as small growths and there can be one or more and small to large in size.
They appear to be flesh colored or whitish.
Symptoms of this embarrassing condition include: * Pinkish or grayish colored lumps around the genital area * A burning sensation felt around the genital area * Severe Itching and discomfort * Pain and bleeding during sexual contact These symptoms are not always visible to the naked eye because they are so tiny.
This is known as "subclinical HPV" which means that the person may have no symptoms of genital warts thus, they have no idea that they may have acquired the virus already.
They may not always develop symptoms in women.
But, a few number of HPV strains can cause cervical changes.
For some women, abnormal pap smear maybe the first symptom of genital warts.
A Pap smear, known as the process of examining the cells from a woman's cervix, can determine her exposure to HPV genital warts.
But, depending on the efficiency of the pap smear, your doctor may recommend another procedure or any other types of tests.
Treatment for genital warts symptoms can ease discomfort but cannot totally "cure" the HPV virus because there is no known cure for the virus yet.
Treatments for genital warts symptoms vary from medications that can be done at home to medical procedures.
However, most doctors do not agree with home remedies for these symptoms because of the strong chemicals composition that may cause severe irritation to the delicate genital area if done and applied incorrectly.
It's a must that you avoid any sexual contact if you have active symptoms.
If you want to have sex at this point, use a condom or no sex at all.
The virus is very contagious and chances are you will be transmitting HPV to your partner if you do not use any protection at all.
