How to Replace a Fujitsu Video Card in a Laptop

    • 1). Shut down your laptop. Disconnect it from the power supply, and remove the battery from the system.

    • 2). Remove the screws at the bottom of the case, then remove the center access panel.

    • 3). Remove the memory from the unit to allow access to the graphics card, pulling each chip directly out of the case.

    • 4). Unscrew the three screws holding the video card heatsink into place. Lift the heatsink out of the unit. Remove the screws from the video card, and then lift the Fujitsu card out of the unit.

    • 5). Insert the new video card into the laptop and screw it into position. Mount the heatsink according to the directions that came with the card, and then screw the heatsink into place.
