- 1). Pound the Zisha clay on a flat surface with the wooden hammer until flat.
- 2). Fold the clay to the form of a cylinder and squeeze the connecting seam together until smooth.
- 3). Put the cylinder on the small wooden wheel. Put one hand inside the cylinder and press the clay into the thickness you desire.
- 4). Use the wooden paddle to pat on the outer cylinder with your other hand to make the surface smooth and to work against the fingers you have inside the cylinder.
- 5). Cut the teapot bottom, spout, handle and fitted cover out of the zisha clay and mold to accompany the cylinder.
- 6). Mold the spout onto the cylinder seam. Mold the bottom onto your cylinder and smooth out continuously. Form the lid to fit the composition of the teapot.
- 7). Carve designs into the teapot with a sharp steel knife to your liking.
- 8). Put your teapot into the electronic kiln and fire at 1050 C for 24 hours.
