- 1). Contact your mobile device service provider's customer care department and let them know that you have locked your phone and you need the PUK code. The ways of contacting the customer care department varies between service providers. Customarily, you can find the contact number for that department on the "Contact Us" page of the provider's website. A customer service representative will verify your account by asking you some standard questions about the account, such as the account holder's name and the address for the account. Once the account is verified, the representative will give you your PUK code.
- 2). Press the "Power" button to turn your mobile device on.
- 3). Enter the PUK code into the lock screen and the device will reset, unlocking the SIM card.
