- 1). Place the upright "T" connector on top of the center of the plastic bucket and use a marker to draw a circle on the lid the size of the connector.
- 2). Drill a hole through the center of the circle you have just drawn. If you have a bit the size of the circle so much the better. If not, drill a pilot hole and then use an X-acto knife to cut carefully around the inside of the circle.
- 3). Insert the base of the "T" into the hole and then use duct tape to secure the "T" to the lid of the bucket.
- 4). Place your dry ice on a flat hard surface while wearing gloves. Cover it with a cloth. Use your hammer to break the dry ice into chunks less than the size of your palm. Be careful not to touch the dry ice with your bare skin.
- 5). Fill the bucket about two-thrids full of hot tap water or water which has been heated on a stove.
- 6). Drop several chunks of dry ice into the hot water and then put the top on the bucket. Within a minute or so, fog should begin pouring out of the "T" on the top of the bucket. Place the bucket so the fog flows where you want it.
