- 1). Click "Start."
- 2). Type "msconfig" in the "Search" box and press "Enter."
- 3). Click "Startup." Click "Disable All" and restart the computer. If the trouble was being caused by a start-up application, this will eliminate the problem, as start-up programs will be prevented from loading. Now you must determine which start-up program was responsible.
- 4). Repeat the procedure, re-enabling each start-up program one at a time until you find the program causing the constant access error. Leave that program unchecked.
