How to Enable NIC Teaming Using ProLiant

    • 1). Log in to the ProLiant server. Open the HP Network Configuration Utility from the "Start" menu. Review the list of NIC's displayed on-screen and decide which NIC's you need teamed.

    • 2). Highlight all of the NIC's you wish to team, and then select "Team" from the left-hand pane. Highlight the "HP Network Team #1" listed at the top of the NIC's. Select the "Properties" button.

    • 3). Wait for the properties for the network adapter team to display, which should not take longer than 10 minutes and varies based on the speed of your server. Configure your team's settings if a preference is known. Leave the default settings selected if you are unfamiliar with the options.

    • 4). Enter a team name of your choice into the "Teaming Controls" panel. Choose the "Transmit Load Balancing with Fault Tolerance (TLB)" from the "Team Type" selection.

    • 5). Select "TCP Connection" for "Transmit Load Balancing Method," and then click "OK" to apply the settings. Open the "Network Connections" from the "Control Panel," and verify that there is a network connection with the same name you chose in Step 4.

    • 6). Restart the system if the network connection does not appear. Log off the system via the "Start" menu once the network connection has been verified.
