If you've ever started a new exercise or fitness routine, you were probably very pleased with the results you got in the beginning.
The first week or two, or maybe even the first month, showed excellent progress slimming and trimming, and burning body fat.
If you've stuck with that exercise routine though, you've probably reached a point where it seems like you're stuck.
Even though you still have more body fat to burn, and weight to lose, you can't seem to make good progress much further.
Why is that? It's because your body is smarter than you might realize.
You see, the human body adapts amazingly well to pretty much anything you force it to endure.
So if it's not used to regular exercise, and you start forcing it to do that, then it will work extra hard to get itself prepared to handle that new routine.
But it learns from what you teach it.
So after a while the body gets used to the extra physical activity you're forcing it to do, and it becomes much more efficient at doing it.
As it becomes more efficient, it burns less fat to create the energy needed to do that exercise.
To keep your body burning the most fat, you actually have to trick it.
You can't let it get used to a set physical routine.
Instead, mix things up a bit.
This is what's known as interval training.
And all you have to do is mix up the pace at which you're doing your exercises and other physical activities.
If you normally walk a mile each day, then after awhile your body gets used to this.
To keep this from happening, simply change the pace at which you walk.
Walk normally for maybe five or 10 minutes, then walk really fast for 30 to 60 seconds.
The same applies to jogging.
Run it your normal pace for a while, then suddenly sprint as fast as you can.
Try to do these in a random manner, so your body is not able to predict when you need the spurts of energy and when you don't.
The result will be that your body will continuously be in a ready mode because it doesn't know when you will need large bursts of energy.
And when you can get your body into this ready mode, it continues to burn fat regularly and quickly.
