The Big Bang Theory is one of the greatest comical series to ever be brought fruition in night time TV. Like all sitcoms, there is always that one character that stands out. One well-known character in the TV series is Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper. He can be described the same way Barney Stinson of How I Met Your Mother is popular with his lines and quotations.

I have compiled a few of his famous quotations in the show and have connected them with my own set of social networking realities that one should stop and think about when becoming involved in such.

1. "More does not equal merry. If there were two thousand people in this apartment right now, would we be celebrating? No! We'd be suffocating!"

The same is true in social networking. Yes, billions of people are engaged in logging in to Facebook or MySpace but it is not a social requirement to add scores of friends so your networking bubble will grow. Add only those people you actually know and have met in real life. Because it can get suffocating especially when they send you notifications which fill up over a day! It is irritating and quite distressing.

2. "You can't make a half sandwich. If it's not half a whole sandwich, it's just a small sandwich."
There is no way can somebody fully understand the character you are trying to put up in a social networking site by simply posting status updates or photos. Nobody can know and care for what you feel or go through via Facebook. Like a 'half sandwich', the updates you leave on your walls resemble a little part of the real you.

3. "I don't say anything. I merely offer you a facial expression that suggests you have gone insane."
Now if you do not want to be criticized without your knowing, don't say anything at all. Or if you are the other end of the conversation, refrain from commenting especially when you feel it might turn out bad because like Sheldon Cooper has asserted, it suggests you have gone insane.

4. "I don't need sleep, I need answers. I need to determine where, in this swamp of unbalanced formulas, squatteth the toad of truth."

This can very well be applied when purchasing products sold by online mobile stores like glossy hard back cases, rotating case stands, and the like. One should first determine how reliable the store is, if their products have gone through quality checks, and of course if the price is reasonable enough. Research is a very important factor in online mobile shopping and must not be overlooked.

Social networking has its own ups and downs. Take it from a physicist with a doctorate degree, he knows what he is talking about.
