How to Install a Universal O2 Sensor on a Misubishi

    • 1). Open the hood. Locate the factory oxygen sensor, which is on the exhaust manifold, and is the only thing on the manifold with a wire leading out of it. Unplug the harness on that wire with your hands.

    • 2). Unbolt the stock oxygen sensor from the exhaust manifold with the oxygen sensor socket and the 3/8-inch ratchet. Discard the old sensor.

    • 3). Apply the anti-seize compound to the threads on the oxygen sensor with the brush provided with the compound. Hand thread the universal oxygen sensor into the exhaust manifold.

    • 4). Tighten down the oxygen sensor in the manifold with the oxygen sensor socket and a 3/8-inch ratchet. Plug the wiring from the universal oxygen sensor into the stock wiring harness.
