    • 3). Design a treatment plan for your dog. Although this condition can’t be cured, there are several things you can do to relieve symptoms. Bathing your dog several times a week with medicated shampoo can help. Your vet can provide prescribe a special shampoo. A topical medication can also be administered to ease discomfort.

    • 4). Consider supplementation. Some dogs have experienced great success by supplementing omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Since dog supplements don’t have governmental oversight, it’s important to always get the correct dosage from the vet.

    • 5). Provide antibiotics when needed. Sometimes a dog that experiences sebaceous adenitis has an infection. Antibiotics can repair the underlying skin issue.
