Usually these kits are a starting point and it's not long before your hobby turns in to a business.
There are many types of candle making kits available to buy.

For a far greater choice I recommend buying on the Internet.
Apart from the wider choice they are usually much cheaper also.
When you buy one of these kits you will get all the materials that you need to make your candles such as wax, molds, wicks and some fragrance.
The contents will vary from kit to kit depending on what type of candles it is intended to produce.
You can purchase candle making kits specifically for soy candles, beeswax candles, gel candles and even the standard paraffin candles.
It is not recommended to try anything too difficult at first if you're new to making candles and standard paraffin candles may be the way to go.
They are the easiest to produce but also produce the most smoke and are the least interesting.
