- 1). Disconnect the Maytag Admiral from its electrical outlet. Slide the dryer away from the wall approximately 3 feet. If necessary, loosen the screw on the band clamp that secures the flexible vent hose to the back of the dryer and then pull off the vent hose.
- 2). Locate the retaining clips between the top front corners and the top of the front panel. Push in on the retaining clips with a putty knife and then lift up the front of the dryer.
- 3). Remove the screws that hold the top of the front panel to the side panels. Pull the front panel forward and then lift he panel up and off the lower kick panel.
- 4). Pull the idler pulley to the right. Slide the belt off the dryer drum and off the motor's pulley. Place the new belt onto the pulleys and then release the idler pulley.
- 5). Reassemble the dryer's front panel and then lower the top onto the chassis. Press the top onto the retaining clips until the top snaps into place.
