Turning the Left over Classroom Rugs into a Piece of Art

The classroom rugs are very essential things for a kid. They are the heart and soul of the pre-school or school room. They save the children from dust and germ. Especially in the pre-schools the kids are left to sit on the floor or play on the floor. So, these mats provide them the protection they need. Moreover, they make their sitting arrangement comfortable. So, they are great additions to the classrooms or kid's corners.

But have you ever thought of creating a piece of art out of the classroom rugs? It sounds a bit crazy. But it is possible. You can use the left over mats to make show pieces with them. You can make wall hangings, doll house accessories, hats, door carpets and so on. What you will have to do is to use your imagination and creativity to turn a rag to an artwork.

The classroom rugs are frequently replaced by the new ones. The parents are always very fussy about them. So, the schools change them now and then for the better care of the children's health. So, each year a lot of left over mats find themselves in dustbins. Often they are not that older to be thrown into the dustbins. In that case you can collect and use them.

If you can manage such left over mats then you can use them to make different creative stuffs. Before you go for making anything out of them, you will have to clean them properly so that they become completely germ and dirt free.

If you wish to make a wall hanging, then cut a mat into different shapes and then paint or embroider on them. Then put a frame around it and your wall hanging is ready. If you wish to make decorative hats with them then take a paper hat and then stick the pieces of the mats over it with glue. Then add few artificial hat flower bouquet and get your hat ready. If you want to use them as door carpets, just take a few classroom rugs and then sew them together. Then put frill around the edge of it and get your cute door carpet ready.
