    • Australia Catholic University was established in 1991, with campuses in North Sydney, Melbourne, Strathfield, Ballarat, Canberra and Brisbane. The university offers a master of accounting degree at both its Melbourne and its North Sydney locations, and the course of study takes one and half years. Potential applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or possess an accounting certificate on the graduate level. Students may be given credit when entering with the graduate level certificate or graduate diploma, allowing them to potentially complete the program in less time. An option is also available for further master's study, allowing students interested in a research degree the opportunity to partake in a two-year program.

    • Bond University is located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, and was founded in 1989. The university offers a bachelor's degree in commerce, which gives students the option to focus on accounting. The degree consists of two years of full-time study, but may also be pursued part time. Students may also participate in a number of internships and appointments to obtain practical experience while pursuing the degree. Courses include Financial Accounting & Company Reporting, Managerial Planning & Control and Principles of Taxation Law.     James Cook University

    • James Cook University was founded in 1970, and offers study opportunities at eight campuses--Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Mackay, Mount Isa, Singapore, Thursday Island and Research Field Stations. The university offers a bachelor of business in accounting degree at its Townsville and Cairns campuses, with international students studying at Brisbane. The program is three years in length when pursued full time. Part-time study is also an option.     • The University of Newcastle was founded in 1965, with locations at Newcastle, Sydney, Port Macquarie, Singapore and Central Coast, with Sydney serving as the location for the master of professional accounting program. The program consists of three semesters of full-time study, but part-time work is also available. Students take courses at Sydney's central business district location, which are geared for those seeking higher education in accounting in addition to gaining experience in supervision and organization. Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree and a graduate certificate or postgraduate diploma, or two years of work-related experience and a diploma. Those who have taken the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) may present the score for qualification, provided a score of no less than 550 was obtained.
