How to Polish Stainless Flatware

    • 1). Place a towel on one side of your kitchen sink. You can lay the flatware on the towel, where it will be readily available, and not have to worry about scratches on your sink.

    • 2). Run warm water and wet each piece of flatware as well as a washcloth.

    • 3). Turn off the faucet and sprinkle baking soda over the stainless flatware. Use the wet washcloth to gently scrub the baking soda over each piece.

    • 4). Use a toothbrush to brush crevices in the handle designs and in between the tines of forks. Rinse off the piece under warm water. Buff it dry with a microfiber cloth and check to see if it is polished to your liking. If it is still a bit dull, add more baking soda and scrub it again, rinse and dry.

    • 5). Use white vinegar or club soda for additional shine to your flatware. Just pour a little of either on a microfiber cloth and rub it over the piece. Dry it well before storing.
