- Make sure there is always fresh water available for your cat; sometimes, dry skin can be a sign of dehydration.
- Try giving your cat different food; her current diet may be causing an allergic reaction that has resulted in feline acne and itchy skin.
- If you are currently giving your cat topical flea medications, try changing the brand. This could also be creating an allergic reaction.
- Most pet stores have additives (usually drops) that can be added to a cat's diet that will encourage the production of the natural oils that keep a cat's skin and coat healthy.
- Give your cat a special treat that contains moisture that's needed to keep their skin healthy. These treats can include egg yolk, tuna or canned chicken.
