One of the worst thing to happen to any house is the chance of a water leak. Most people think that owning a newer home can prevent these leaks but sometimes that is not true. That it is why it is always a good idea to have some mold remediation products ready to use in case a water leak happens. The faster you fix your leaking pipes the less chances you will have a serious mold problem. Bear in mind, black mold doesn't take long at all to spread throughout your home so you can just sit back and let it take over your home.

I have experienced plumbing leaks in our home and of all the places the water overflowed to it had to go directly into my office where i spend most of my time. I noticed that my network server was swimming in water and my carpets where sitting in a river of water. i needed to get this fixed as soon as possible so i went down to the office and tried to assess the damages and i already smelled that musty smell that mold spores give off when you have a mold problem. I was unable to get any work done in the office because i started to get a headache and my skin started itching. i knew then it was time to gather my resources to clean up this mold before it was too late.

I checked checked an online mold store and purchased some new mold removal kits that really proved to be an advantage for me. Then i went to the local hardware store and rented a water extractor and a carpet cleaning machine combo.i drove back to my house and began the mold extraction process. The first step i took was i used the water vaccuum machine to extract as much extra water i could to make sure it was no standing water left. The mold removal kit that i purchased came with a mold remover and a mold blocker.

The 1st solution was to clean the black mold and one was to block it from coming back in the future. I benefited more than i thought with this kit as i will show you later on. I filled up the carpet cleaning machine with the mold destroyer product. Next i used the carpet cleaning machine to hit all the carpet that was wet just to get the mold cleaning solution deep down into the carpet so the brushes could work their magic. I then let the black mold cleaner stay in the carpet for 10 - 15 minutes as i was instructed to. I bought one of those orkin man spray bottles and filled it up and sprayed the carpet area again just to make sure i didn't miss anywhere. This time i turned the vacuum switch to on position on the carpet cleaning machine and gave it another cleaning.

Now the first step of the mold remediation process was complete. The next part was easy. The nextmold remediation solutions was the mold encapsulator. All i had to do was spray that one time on the affected area and let it sit. That was it! The directions said to spray it on the surface again only if i wanted to so i did just to make sure i didn't miss any areas.

My office is clean and free of that horrible musty smell and I and when i am done with work i don't have any more headaches from the toxic mold. I really just wanted to destroy the toxic mold spores that were deep in my carpets in which i was successful. But i was surprised that my carpets came out so much cleaner as well. i am just happy that i didn't have to spend as much money as i estimated to get this job done.
