- 1). Purchase a thin ribbon in the color or colors desired and cut a 12-inch piece from the roll.
- 2). Pinch one end of the ribbon with your index finger and thumb and make a small loop. Pinch the bottom of the loop with your fingers.
- 3). Loosen your grip slightly and dot a bit of tacky glue in between the looped piece of ribbon at the base of the loop. Squeeze the loop in place until the glue holds.
- 4). Fold the remaining ribbon up to make another loop. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for this loop, then glue the bottom of the new loop to the bottom of the old loop.
- 5). Repeat Step 4, going all the way around in a circle until the final loop meets the first loop you made.
- 1). Purchase a 1-inch thick red ribbon and cut off a 12-inch piece.
- 2). Start rolling the ribbon tightly, starting from one end and working toward the other. Every second or third overlap, add a small dot of glue to keep the roll in place.
- 3). Loosen your rolling when you get about halfway down the ribbon. Roll tightly near the bottom of the rose roll and looser toward the top to emulate petals. Keep adding dots of glue, but only at the bottom of the rose. Do this until you reach the end of the ribbon.
- 4). Let the glue set for about 10 minutes. Gently pull at the petals at the top of the rose to separate them from the rest of the roll and make the rose look more realistic.
