Hi, I'm farm to table chef Teca Thompson at tecathompson.com. And today we're talking about how to garden eggplant in a container. So I just love eggplant. And if you don't have any room for it in ground you can surely grow it in a pot. So we're going to start the seeds in small individual containers. You'll fill it three quarters of the way up with all purpose potting soil. We'll do two seeds per container and then we'll cover those up about a quarter inch with more soil. And then you are just going to want to water them in. Eggplant needs a lot of sun and very fertile soil and a lot of water. So what we're going to do is once the little babies have grown to two sets of full leaves we're going to transplant them into a very big container. And you'll just want to plant one plant per large container. And I know they're small now but they'll grow to be very big. And they like a lot of space in the ground. And just make sure to water them, give them plenty of sun. And watch your eggplant grow.
