- Celebrex is designed to relieve pain, inflammation and stiffness caused by arthritis, while other prescriptions only target the pain associated with the illness.
- While taking Celebrex, you may experience constipation, diarrhea, gas, or upset stomach or nausea. Other side effects include heartburn, sore throat, dizziness and stuffy nose.
- All NSAID prescriptions, including Celebrex, can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or suffer from high blood pressure, have a history of ulcers, or experience kidney or liver problems.
- Let your physician know if you are taking warfarin, lithium and ACE inhibitors, due to possible interactions with Celebrex.
- As with any medication, if the symptoms you experience become too bothersome or worsen, consult with your doctor or pharmacist. Celebrex may not be the right prescription for you.
