How to Copy Music to a Flash Drive on a Mac

    • 1). Plug your USB flash drive into your Mac computer.

    • 2). Open the finder application on your computer. Locate your finder application on the dock on the bottom of your desktop. The finder application's icon is a square, blue smiley face.

    • 3). Search through your documents to find the music that you want to transfer to your USB flash drive. To do this, click on "Documents" on the right side of the finder and scroll down until you locate the music.

    • 4). Right-click on the music file and select "Copy." You now have a copy ready for you to place in the USB flash drive.

    • 5). Click on your USB drive name under the Devices column on the left side. The finder shows the contents of your USB drive in the right box. Right-click anywhere in the box and select "Paste Item." You now have a copy of your music on both the Mac and the flash drive.
