My Pepper Plants Are Healthy But They Just Stopped Growing

    Temperature

    • Cool temperatures inhibit phosphorous uptake in tomato plants and this causes stunted growth. Peppers grow best in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Fertilization

    • Early pepper plant growth depends on adequate nitrogen levels. Apply composted manure or 2 to 3 lbs. of commercial fertilizer labeled 10-10-10 per 100 square feet of garden.

    Moisture

    • Inadequate irrigation slows pepper plant growth. Apply at least 1 inch of water each week during the growing season.
