The Tiger has a tendency to irk the Pig. You two get on well enough. But there is not a plethora of intimate friendships among you. Why? Well you have different energies and different goals in life. You Pigs thrive on culture, authenticity, purity and the joys of Mother Nature.

Tigers prosper in the presence of movement, excitement, novelty and change. Whilst the Pig might sit all morning in a museum in New York City scrutinizing a single painting by Rembrandt; the Tiger would stride through the room where the Rembrandts hang, give each one a minute's stare and move on to the Picasso room.


Tigers are simply impatient to get on with things. Pigs are content to relish the best things in life and revel in their pleasures. So although this Tiger year doesn't bode any ill for you Pigs, the frenetic pace and frantic haste at which everything is accomplished raises your bristles.

My suggestion for Pig happiness in Tiger years is travel. This is the year for you to get moving. Go study all those art museums you have been dreaming about. Visit those splendid temples in India and Viet Nam and Cambodia and Thailand and Latin America. And while you're at it, hie yourself and your newfound sweetheart to someplace green, lush and warm where one of you can pop the crucial question. As we head into the peaceful Cat/ Rabbit year, it's high time for you Pigs to settle down.
