Wow I did it! Good Feng shui learning can start early so why not teach your child the basics this spring with customized gardening just for them! You need to keep it simple and ensure that you do your best to get results that will keep them motivated year after year!Develop their love of gardening and gardening habits early on and what their enthusiam for the outdoors flourish! Try this step by step approach this spring! 1.
Build Excitement Bring your child to a nursery and tell them you are going to pick out some beautiful seed together that you will help them plant and water so that you can grow a beautiful happy plant together in your garden that will spread happy energy throughout your garden!(Make sure you pick an easy hearty variety) 2.
Pick A Spot! Walk around your garden on a sunny day and pick a sunny spot where the sunshine will help your child grow the best flowers!A spot facing the south is ideal! 3.
The Importance of Soil Add some water to the soil that you picked out and ask you child if the water sits on the ground for a long time or does is disappear (drains well).
If it doesn't drain well use the water test to make sure that you pick a good spot!(make sure you child has a small enough watering can to allow them to do it themselves).
Point out any worms in the earth - a good sign the soil is good! 4.
Preparing the Flowers New Home Teach your child how you can make the flower really happy by first making sure you add some vitamins (conditioner) to the soil before planting the seeds - just like your child takes their vitamins each morning the flower needs vitamins too! After the soil is prepared plant the seed or seedlings as directed 5.
Don't forget to Feed Them! Each day explain to your child its their responsibility to water their new flowers.
If you want to produce anything special in life - you need to be sure you are committed to take care of them.
Have a routine -each day have your child water their seedling and record its growth with pictures! 6.
Show it off! Once your beautiful flower arrives take pictures and write a note to grandma telling her how your childs love and nurturing resulted in this beautiful new growth! 7.
Continue the Life Cycle As the life cycle progresses- explain the process to your child.
Tell them what to expect, how to prepare for next year, and how to enjoy the wonders of nature this year and throughout their lives!
