- 1). Decide on the size of the rocks you will use for your slope.
- 2). Use larger rocks at the bottom of your slope and work your way up the slope with the rocks getting smaller toward the top. This will help prevent the rocks from sliding.
- 3). For a look that will make it appear that rocks are a natural part of the slope, bury about six inches of a very large landscaping rock into the bottom of the slope instead of simply placing it on the ground.
- 4). Make sure the rocks fit well with each other and are secure.
