- 1). Find old clothes in your attic or basement. Hancock looks like a homeless man on the street and the more torn up and old your clothes, are the better. Cut a couple of holes into the clothes to add some authenticity. Toss them in the dirt or put some food stains on the clothes as well.
- 2). Wear shirts and pants that are a size too big. This will help emphasize the homeless look that Hancock sports.
- 3). Sew an eagle patch to the front of a grey winter hat. The eagle is Hancock’s mascot and this can be seen throughout the movie. As an alternative, you can use permanent markers to draw an eagle onto the winter hat.
- 4). Compliment the hat with a gold chain and eagle pendant. Once again, this can be easily recreated at home with some tin foil and a cutout of an eagle.
- 5). Paint on some faux facial hair. It does not need to be thick, just a light layer to showcase that you have not shaved will work fine.
- 6). Wear a pair of oversized sunglasses. They should be worn so that it covers your eyebrows to upper cheeks and the lenses should be completely black.
- 7). Complete the costume with a bottle of soda for the younger crowd or a bottle of wine for older people in costume. Hancock always walked around drinking and impaired, so the bottle is essential to his costume.
