How to Build a Jasmine Flower Cage

    • 1). Cut a length of trellis netting or chicken wire for the trellis system. Make the trellis long enough for extended growth and as tall as the wall for best coverage.

    • 2). Staple the netting or chicken wire to the wall behind the jasmine to secure it. Put a staple at every 1 to 2 feet along the wire or netting. Staple multiples pieces of netting or chicken wire to build a larger trellis, or add more as the jasmine grows.

    • 3). Tie the jasmine vines back to the trellis in an upward and outward pattern for support and coverage. Use soft cord ties and secure only main stems. Foliage and flowering stems break easily, so tying these will damage the plant.
