- 1). Lay the garment flat so that the stained area is easily accessible.
- 2). Saturate the stain with a bleach-free oxygenated liquid laundry detergent.
- 3). Rub the detergent into the stained area with your fingers to work it into the fabric.
- 4). Allow the detergent to remain on the stain for at least 30 minutes.
- 5). Launder the garment with the same bleach-free liquid laundry detergent per the manufacturer's instructions.
- 6). Inspect the garment when it comes out of the washing machine. Treat the stain again if it is still visible before drying the garment because heat will set the stain in.
- 7). Air-dry by hanging the garment outside in the sunshine or inside in a dry, well-ventilated area of your home.
- 1). Mix together equal parts 3 percent hydrogen peroxide with water.
- 2). Pour the solution over the stained area to saturate it completely.
- 3). Allow the area to soak for 30 minutes.
- 4). Launder the garment in cool water with a bleach-free liquid laundry detergent.
- 5). Air-dry the garment by hanging it outside or inside in a dry area. Repeat the process if the stain is still visible with a stronger solution of more hydrogen peroxide to water.
