- 1). Navigate to the desktop folder for which you want to set the view.
- 2). Verify the folder contains image format files such as PNG, JPG or GIF.
- 3). Right-click in the content side of the folder and choose "View" and then "Tiles." You may also choose "Medium Icons," "Large Icons" or "Extra Large Icons" instead of "Tiles" to view pictures. The values on your computer may vary. Test the available options to test the display.
- 4). Select "Folder Options" from the "Tools" menu to set the previous actions to be your default folder view. Click the "View" tab. Press the "Apply to Folders" button and then "OK." Click "Yes" at the "Folder views" confirmation window to verify that you want to set all folders to match the current one.
