How to Make 3D Animations Using Photoshop

    • 1). Go to a site like Renderosity or TurboSquid and download a model (free or for a fee) that you can use. A sphere will work perfectly for this. Make sure it is in a commonly used format like 3DS or Wavefront OBJ.

    • 2). Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open." In the dialog that appears, locate the 3D model you downloaded and open it.

    • 3). Select "Window" from the menu and choose "Animation." Go to the timeline at the bottom and click on the "Duplicate Frame" button.

    • 4). Select the first frame in the timeline. Use the "Move" tool to place the 3D object where you want it to be at the beginning of the animation. Then set the position in the second frame.

    • 5). Click on the "Tweening" button at the bottom of the timeline. In the dialog that appears, enter the number of frames that you want to add between the first and last frames. Click "OK."

    • 6). Go to the bottom of each frame and choose the "Frame Delay" to set how long each will appear in the animation.

    • 7). Select "File" from the menu and choose "Save for Web or Devices." In the dialog that appears, set "GIF" as the file type and click "Save." Name your file and save it.
