Another of his most interesting creations was the Skew Arch bridge which was official opened in 1830.
It was the first of its kind because it was built so that it could cross a railway at an angle.

James Dyson was born in Norfolk in 1947 and he invented the first vacuum cleaner that did not need a bag.
Dyson's have now become very high tech and are very high powered products.
Dyson also invented the Dual Cyclone vacuum which prevents a loss of suction.
This product has made him a huge amount of money and established him as a fine English industrial designer.
