The New York Jets are expecting very big things for the 2010 NFL season.
They made a very deep, surprise run to the AFC championship game last season.
Now they want to build on that success, and they want to build all of the way to a Super Bowl title.
The offseason was busy and filled with moves, and the Jets are ready to make an impact.
The biggest story of the offseason was the contract dispute with star cornerback Darelle Revis.
Revis played exceptionally last season and was a major factor in the team's success.
He was unhappy with his rookie contract, and wanted to be the highest paid cornerback in the league.
After a long holdout and threats by both sides about missing the entire season, Revis has finally suited up with the club, and a pricey new contract that added many millions to his net worth, including $32 million in guaranteed money.
Meanwhile, the team has brought in a variety of other big name players.
They let go of running back Thomas Jones, but brought in future Hall of Fame back LaDainian Tomlinson.
Tomlinson can be a great change of pace back for their existing lineup.
They also traded for former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes, and brought in cornerback Antonio Cromartie as well.
All of this has been displayed on the HBO reality television show Hard Knocks.
So there is no disputing that this is a high profile team, and that all of the expectations are clear for everyone involved.
Now it's time for coach Rex Ryan to back up all of that talking, and for young quarterback Mark Sanchez to back up all of his hype, as the team plans to make a push to win a championship.
