The Truth About Carbs - Part 1

There is a lot of false information about carbs and whether or not they are good for you.
The truth is that they are good for you.
They provide your body with energy used in daily activities.
There are mainly two different types of carbs.
There are complex carbs which are a great energy source for the body.
They are rich in foods like pasta, oatmeal, bread, and potatoes.
They are different from simple carbs because they are stored in the body as fat and take longer to burn off.
Their molecules are a chain and are starchy.
The truth about simple carbs is that they come mainly from sweets.
They are abundant in foods like ice cream, muffins, and cake.
Simple carbs are stored in the body as fat if not burnt off right away.
When dieting sweets should be avoided because sugary foods are ultimately stored in the body as fat.
They also slow down your metabolism.
So many people believe that cutting carbs out of their diets will help there results.
The truth about low carb diets is that they will help you lose fat.
But they also drain your body's energy levels.
This is why bodybuilders and super athletes must always get a big amount so they have a lot of energy to exercise and improve their performance.
If you are not the active type then I would suggest you try a low carb diet.
I tried a low carb diet once but I felt too hungry all the time.
So see what works for you and go for it.
