Heating the yogurt will destroy its nutritional value and its ability to ward off bad bacteria.
It will lose its distinctive flavor.
Again, do not attempt to heat or add hot water to your yogurt.
You can enjoy it better when served chilled.
You also need to take note that it can be inappropriate to drink yogurt while taking certain medications.
Medicines like antibiotics can contain certain substances that can kill the yogurt's good bacteria, making it lose its nutritional value.
When taking antibiotics like chloramphenicol and amoxicillin, it might be a good move to skip your yogurt temporarily.
You also need to consult your doctor when you are taking erythromycin and sulfanilamide drugs.
These medications can also reduce the nutritional value of yogurts.
Lastly, some astringents as treatment for diarrhea can also have the same effect.
