This was our first visit to Cape Town and not being familiar with the area werent too sure what to expect. We were looking for accommodation close to Cape Town Airport
We booked ourselves into the Lily Bed & Breakfast which was in a great location to experience what the Cape has to offer. Being only 10 minutes away from Cape Town meant that we were close to all the amenities that we needed.
The beaches nearby offers a diverse range of activities; there is ample room for sunbathing, while the flat, open nature of the beach lends itself to activities such as football and beach volleyball; thereby accommodating visitors with an appetite for something more active. We paid a visit to the penguin colony and visited some of the pristine beaches located in the Western Cape including both Clifton and Camps Bay beaches which were both in the near vicinity.
The oceans are known to be cold throughout the year as a result of the cold Benguela current that flows parallel to the West Coast however the warm climate makes up for the cold ocean providing the perfect reason to enjoy the cold waters of Cape Town.
There are some exotic sports that one can enjoy depending on which season you choose to visit, amongst them are kite surfing and windsurfing, both of which are enjoyed by travelers who enjoy spending their time in the Western Cape during the summer months.

We had a great experience from the beginning of our trip to the end and made use of the various services offered and would suggest to anyone planning on taking a visit to Pinelands or anywhere in the Western Cape to consider Lily Bed & Breakfast as their accommodation of choice.
