The Secret Button inside us all People from all walks of life regularly ask me how they can lose weight.
The first thing i always ask them is "Why do you want to lose weight?" This to me is the most important question anyone can ask because believe me it is entirely possible to lose weight.
Forget initially how we are going to lose weight.

I firmly believe that to have a sustained and long term weight loss you need to have a positive mental attitude.
This is the secret button we all possess and we can use , should we choose.
However it is the most difficult button to find and it is also covered in oil which makes it really slippery to fall off.

So here is my initial suggestion.
Speak to your family, your partner, and your friends.
Explain to them just how important this is to you and why you need their help and support.
They need to be there for you, not teasing you or tempting you with the little "this wont hurt " comments.
Lets not make any bones about it, losing weight and sticking to a diet is hard, very hard and you are going to need all the support you can get.
TARGETS Set yourself a target which is easily achievable.
Even losing one pound is progress and once you have achieved that aim then reevaluate those targets.
It is possible to lose weight quick but it is also important not to gain that weight back again so slow and sustainable would be my motto.
When you hit your target reward yourself.
Rent out a DVD or go on a visit somewhere that you always wanted to go.
Take the whole family and celebrate your success.
There will be hard times ahead so you need to savour the best bits.
MOTIVATION Find an old picture of yourself or a picture of your son, daughter or grandchildren and put that on the fridge.
Every time you are tempted to snack or break your diet you will see that picture and it may be all you need to stop you.
Once you have the mindset correct then you will discover how to lose weight quickly.
Remember that slow and steady is the best way to diet, focus on how to lose the pounds, imagine how good it will feel when you do and enjoy the progress you will make.
