Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Place one bag of chamomile tea in half a cup of boiling water. Allow the tea to steep for 15 minutes. Add 1 tbsp. lemon juice and mix well.
2
Set the tea aside and allow it to cool. When it reaches room temperature, soak the tip of a cotton swab in the solution. Then rub the swab gently over any discolored areas of the skin. Repeat the application up to six times each day. Both lemon juice and chamomile tea are natural bleaching agents that should lighten the skin with repeated applications.
3
Transfer any unused portion to a small container with a tight lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
4
Apply vitamin E oil or manuka honey to any scar tissue. Regular applications of either one will encourage the development of new skin cells. Smear a light coating of the chosen substance over the scar and then press down until the scarred area becomes white. Vigorously massage the skin with the tips of your fingers for two to three minutes. This not only aids in the absorption of the oil or honey, it increases blood flow to the affected area. Repeat this procedure up to four times a day. Cleanse the area by wiping with a moist cloth.
5
Spread a thin layer of an over-the-counter medication containing benzoyl peroxide over any affected areas of skin. Benzoyl peroxide is a common ingredient in acne medications. In can help to both lighten skin and reduce the appearance of scars. Do not use this treatment more than twice a day, as it can be very drying and cause the skin to flake.
